Spain reached the semi-finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 after defeating former runners-up Netherlands.
In the first quarter-final match on Friday, Spain won 2-1 against the Netherlands.
In the 81st minute of the game, Spawn took the lead with Oliver’s penalty goal.
But for the Netherlands, Van Der equalized in the first minute of injury time.
After that, Spain’s Paraluilo managed to score in the extra time in the 111th minute.
19-year-old winger Paraluillo came off the bench to score the winning goal as Spain reached the semi-finals of the Women’s World Cup for the first time.
The Netherlands, who were runners-up in 2019, lost to the US in the final.
Spain will play either Japan or Sweden in the last four. The match between Japan and Sweden is taking place today.
