Kathmandu, The proposed ‘School Education Act 2080’ has banned the membership of any party of teachers. Arrangements have been made to punish the teachers working in the community school for taking membership of any party.
Section 88 and 89 of the CrPC proposes to remove or dismiss a teacher for joining any political party, engaging in political activities or participating in any other political activity.
In such a situation, the right to dismiss the teacher has been given to the local administration. It is mentioned in the draft that the teacher may not be able to serve the school teacher service in the future.
Section 73 of the Draft Act has been made to bar teachers from engaging in political activities. Teachers have been asked not to take membership in political parties or parties-affiliated organizations, participate in political activities, participate in elections for political posts or solicit votes or donations for any kind of political activity.
