    An investigation will be conducted on the public video claiming that a dead person has been brought back to life

    Ruppendehi District Administration Office is going to investigate this after a video was released through social media saying that a person who was said to be dead was brought back to life in a church in Butwal.


    Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Bharatmani Pandey, said that spreading confusion in this way is punishable and further investigation will be carried out.


    ‘We came to know about it after the video was released. Anyone doing such things is punishable by law. There will be an investigation on this,” said Pandey.


    In a public video on social media, the pastor of Holy Calvary Church in Butwal is said to have revived a dead person. In a video posted by a Facebook user named Vivek Satyal, a man can be seen picking up a woman lying on the ground (called dead) by saying a few words.



    In the video, Rajendra Gotame, who is said to be a pastor, has said that “thanks to Jesus” saying that “Lord Jesus’ influence brought the dead woman back to life”. Along with Gotame, some women and men are also seen saying something in the video.


    After waking up the woman who was said to be dead in the video, her mother-in-law was called forward and told that she was not cured even after taking her to various hospitals and spending lakhs of rupees on treatment.


    Pastor Rajendra Gotame said that while the old woman called mother-in-law was speaking, she did not recover even when she was taken to Kathmandu in an ambulance, but he heard that it cost 5/6 lakhs.
