    Government of Nepal decides to mourn the death of former Japanese Prime Minister Aabe

    Kathmandu: The Government of Nepal has decided to observe national mourning on the demise of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.

    Abe died during treatment after being shot on Friday. A cabinet meeting on Friday decided to mourn Abe’s death on Saturday. The government also expressed grief over his death.
    Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba expressed deep sorrow over the news of Abe’s death and paid tribute. He paid tribute to Abe’s death via Twitter. He also expressed his condolences to the family members. A statement of condolence passed by the Council of Ministers said, “The Government of Nepal strongly condemns the assassination of former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe. Expressing deep sorrow over his demise, the Government of Nepal extends its heartfelt condolences to the Government of Japan, the people of Japan and the family of the late Abe. The Government of Nepal has decided to observe National Mourning on Saturday, Ashad 25, 2079 in honor of the late Abe.

    A cabinet meeting on Friday also condemned Abe’s assassination. Earlier, the governments of various countries have also expressed their grief over Abe’s death and decided to mourn him.

    Abe was shot while addressing an election rally on Friday. Abe, who collapsed after being shot, died during treatment.
