    Vehicles will not run on Baisakh 30, Commission decides to close border checkpoints from 27

    Kathmandu. Public transport will be out of order on Baisakh 30, the day of polling under the local level election.

    Similarly, the Election Commission has stated that private vehicles cannot be operated without the permission of the administration.


    The Election Commission (EC) on Thursday sent a letter to the government asking it not to allow vehicles to run without permission on polling day.

    According to the commission, in the case of voters with disabilities, the criteria for going to the polling station with one person from each household has been fixed by getting the driving permit from the concerned Chief Electoral Officer.


    The commission has stated that the authority has been given to the district administration office for the permission of vehicles.

    However, vehicles of diplomatic missions will have to get permission from the Central Office of the Election Commission.
