Chitwan. Two children have drowned while swimming in Narayani River. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, two children drowned while going for a swim in the frozen water on the bank of Narayani River near Bharatpur-3 at around 2 pm today (Thursday).

The deceased have been identified as Bidan Gautam, 10, son of Bimal Gautam of Bharatpur-7, Bikash Chowk, Chitwan and a 12-year-old boy named Thar Nakhule.
According to the police, the two were found drowning while swimming. However, they were rushed to Bharatpur Hospital for treatment with the help of locals. Police said that an investigation is underway into the incident.
