World record in memory by Arpan Sarma, From Nepal

    Kathmandu. Jhapa’s young talent Arpan Sharma has set a new world record in memory. He made the claim at a press conference in Birtamod today. Known by the nickname “Memory King”, he first entered the Guinness Book of World Records in 2072 BS by memorizing a series of 42 objects in one minute. After that, Nabal Panjiyar got 54 votes in the same category
    Now, Sharma has claimed that he has succeeded in remembering 83 items in one minute, breaking Panjiyar’s record. He said that the new record was set on July 10. Inspector of Nepal Police Jeevan Kumar Mainali, President of Lions Club of Bhadrapur Yogendra Poudel and others were present in the meeting hall of Birendra Namuna Secondary School in Bhadrapur on July 10. He said the video of the show’s presentation had been sent to the Guinness Book of World Records as evidence and would be verified by Guinness’s UK office after an investigation. Sharma, 32, graduated from Mechi Multipurpose Campus.

    After being inscribed in the Guinness Book of World Records, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Government of Nepal awarded him the National Youth Award in 2072 BS, the National Youth Award in 2020, the Gold Medal and the Best Youth Award in 2074 BS. He was born on January 7, 2046 BS in Bhadrapur Municipality-8 of Jhapa as the child of father Mohan Prasad Kattel and mother Khina Sharma. Having been sharp-witted since childhood, he is currently studying Meditation and Brain Trainer He is now known by the nickname Memory King.
